Tennessee State Parks are offering a chance for folks to walk off some of the turkey and dressing that will fly off the Thanksgiving table. All 55 parks in the system will give free guided hikes on Friday. Deputy parks commissioner Brock Hill says the after holiday hikes are a perfect way to spend time with family and friends while working off the turkey splurge. The hikes are designed for all ages and abilities. Some short jaunts will be offered while other longer walks will attract more experienced hikers. Trail journeys will be offered at Old Stone Fort, Tims Ford and Rock Island State parks. For more information visit http://www.tnstateparks.com.
