Storms Hit Middle Tennessee Hard

A storm squall slapped Southern Middle Tennessee late Tuesday afternoon, leaving wind and lightning damage. High winds dropped trees across several roads in Coffee County. Crews were called to clean debris on Ragsdale Road and Normandy Road outside of Tullahoma. Storm losses also reported in the Hillsboro and Stevenson communities in the southeastern part of the county. High winds and hail also damaged areas of Cannon and Warren Counties. The National Weather Service reports EF1 Tornadoes, sporting wind speeds of around 100 miler per hour, touched down in Putnam and Fentress Counties on the upper Cumberland Plateau. No injuries reported as a result of the storms.
