Kentucky Truck Driver Charged with Vehicular Homicide in TN Crash

A Kentucky Truck Driver charged with vehicular homicide was extradited from the bluegrass state Tuesday and now is in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting trial. Ben Brewer is charged in connection with a deadly Interstate-75 crash outside Chattanooga June 25th. Six people died after his tractor trailer rig slammed into traffic slowed for construction work. The man is also charged with speeding, driving under the influence of narcotics and violating federal road safety rules. He was arrested in Kentucky days after a Hamilton County Grand Jury indicted him last month. Brewer was transferred to Chattanooga after Kentucky authorities dropped unrelated drug charges against him.
