State Senator Jim Tracy says he will make his own statewide tour to develop ideas for solving transportation funding woes in Tennessee. The Shelbyville Republican Chairs the Senate’s Transportation Committee. Tracy says he wants to hear from citizens and community leaders about options to fund road and bridge projects. Tracy’s road show kicks off later this month in Nashville and will range across the state through late October. Tracy says any plan to increase the fuel tax is dead on arrival at the General Assembly. Gov. Bill Haslam says he might give lawmakers a roads funding plan when it meets in January.
