Guards from “For Profit” Private Prison Charged with Official Misconduct

Three private prison guards are charged with profiteering from inmate labor. The Corrections Corp of America guards were indicted by a Davidson County Grand Jury this week. Investigators started a probe after getting a tip that prison guards at the CCA Facility in Nashville were selling items produced in an inmates wood working class. The trio allegedly sold plaques, games and other items produced by the class. They are charged with 2 counts of Official Misconduct and violation of inmate labor rules.
