Former Tennessee senator Bill Frist and a member of Gov. Bill Haslam’s cabinet have signed on in support of Jeb Bush’s republican presidential bid. Frist, who served as majority leader of the senate, says he’s impressed by bush’s detailed agenda to reform Washington. Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd also supports the former Florida governor and brother of former president George W. Bush. Another 55 prominent Tennessee republicans have endorsed Jeb bush. But it’s unlikely he will fare well in the state presidential primary in March. In the last 2 cycles, Tennessee republicans have backed more conservative potential nominees over so—called moderates.
