Former Woodbury Police Chief Sentenced to Prison

A former Woodbury police chief will serve 8 months behind bars after pleading guilty on federal fraud charges. Kevin Mooneyham was sentenced in the Nashville federal district court Monday. Prosecutors say Mooneyham falsified payroll records and collected thousands of dollars in un-earned pay while leading the department. The man took payroll offered through a federally—funded DUI enforcement campaign. Prosecutors say Mooneyham was barred from taking overtime pay and spent little time on DUI work. He reached a plea agreement in June, admitting he made “bad choices”. Mooneyham is set to enter prison November 30th.
