Six are facing federal drug charges after authorities say they allegedly conspired to distribute illegal marijuana by using the United States postal service. The group indicted by a federal grand jury in Chattanooga earlier this month and were arrested Tuesday. The Tullahoma News reports local police contacted the postal service and federal drug agents when they became aware of the postal pot scheme about 6 months ago. All told some 220 pounds of marijuana was allegedly mailed from California location to a Tullahoma address since the summer. Some of the marijuana found its way to Franklin County. 4 of those charged list Coffee County addresses while 1 man is from Franklin County. A California man has also been charged.
