The former Director of the South Pittsburg Housing Authority has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the public agency. Terry Case faces a preliminary court hearing in Jasper tomorrow. A grand jury indictment charges the man with theft of between $1000–$10,000. Two other former housing authority members were convicted on similar charges this summer. The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports the action results from an audit by the state comptroller. Case is also a member of the Marion County School Board. He is free under a $10,000 bond. The agency’s former accounting director and housing manager were found guilty of taking more than $230,000 from the authority over a 4 year period in July.
