A bizarre accident injures 10 visitors at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University. Vandy spokeswoman Elizabeth Latt says a group was gathered outside the old gym building when a tree fell shortly after 11 Monday morning. She says at least 10 were being treated for injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 4 were taken to the hospital by ambulance. All the injured were listed in stable condition. The tree fell as folks gathered for an admissions tour of the campus. Investigators believe heavy rains caused the roots of a large hackberry tree to give way, causing the collapse.
