A plan that would change meeting schedules for the State Senate beginning this month is drawing questions from some lawmakers. Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris wants the full body to meet on Monday mornings – leaving Monday afternoon for committee work. In exchange lawmakers would go home by Thursday. Tullahoma Republican Senator Janice Bowling has e-mailed colleagues, saying the change would leave less time to meet with constituents and attend legislative parties and receptions. Norris says the change would give Senators 2 full days back in their district and improve committee work.
