gun Allegation Brings Student Dismissal

Rutherford County Schools officials say they are investigating a complaint that a Blackman High School student brought a gun on campus last week. A parent and student claim the student had a weapon with him on Friday. The suspect was removed from school yesterday. A spokesman for the system says if the allegation is true, the student will face criminal charges and be permanently banned from attending county schools. The system has a strict zero-tolerance rule banning weapons on school property.
