Sheriff: Song may be to Blame for Gunfire

Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold says a controversial Super Bowl Half Time Show may be to blame for a shooting incident at his Murfreesboro home Monday night. Someone fired 6-8 rounds in the vicinity of Arnold’s home, causing him to hit the floor and head his wife and children upstairs. No bullets struck the house and no one was hurt. Arnold says he has no motive for the gun play, but wonders if Beyonce’s “Formation” video could have spurred the action. The video, set in post Katrina New Orleans, has been criticized by some as being “anti-police”. Arnold says the shooting may be part of an uptick in violence against law officers after the video was aired.
