Tullahoma Teacher Removed over Alligations of Hitting Student

A Tullahoma City Schools substitute teacher has been suspended from duty over allegations the employee hit an 11 year old boy in the face during class Wednesday. The Tennessean reports the child’s grandmother complained to school authorities and and reported the alleged incident to Tullahoma Police. The grandmother allegedly provided photos of the boy showing a swollen lower lip. Belaire Elementary School Principal April Norris says the Teacher has been suspended from work and the incident is under investigation by the Department of Children’s Services.
