Veteran Coffee County Deputy Property Assessor Beverly Robertson beat 2 challengers to win the top job during Tuesday balloting. Robertson, who served as deputy assessor for 17 years, won 2,702 votes in the republican primary. Larry McIntosh finished 2nd with 2,303 votes. Roseann Carden riddle trailed with 1,724. Vote totals are unofficial and won’t be certified until next week. Robertson’s win further consolidates republican control of local elected offices. She faces no democrat challenger in august and will take over the job September 1st.
