Bledsoe County Sheriff Jimmy Morris counts his son as an inmate at the Dunlap Jail. James Michael Morris, age 26, has been charged with possession of 11 grams of methamphetamine, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and a weapons offense. The younger Morris was charged after officers raided his home. The Chattanooga times free press reports James Morris is jailed without bond, pending a hearing that could be set for today. Sheriff Morris says he accompanied deputies during the arrest, but stayed back to let them make the investigation. The sheriff says his son had been under investigation for trafficking meth for about 9 months before his arrest.
