Consumer Confidence Growing in Tennessee

A statewide survey shows consumer confidence is on the rise in Tennessee. A survey conducted by Middle Tennessee State University says most folks are feeling better about the economy, despite some misgivings about future finances and the employment picture. The Tennessee Consumer Outlook Index jumped to 45 this month, up markedly from 18 in December. The online survey contracted 606 random respondents earlier this month. The index has a margin of error of 4%. Higher index numbers usually translate into growing demand for goods and services.
