After jumping by as much as .40 cents per gallon during spring break, gasoline prices have eased down slightly across much of Southern Middle Tennessee. A Gasbuddy survey in Murfreesboro, Decherd, Shelbyville and Manchester reveals a gallon of regular fuel going for around $1.77 at many convenience stops that’s down by more than a nickel from pump prices over Easter. The U.S. average for gas has climbed above the $2 mark. Analysts say the price spike results from lower gas inventories. Crude oil price are in decline in trading. Crude closed off at $35.70 per barrel Monday.
