Franklin County United Bank Sold

Dunlap based Citizens Tri-County Bank says it will purchase Franklin County United Bank which currently operates offices in Decherd and Cowan. Citizens Tri-County first opened in 1972. It bought out Tullahoma’s First National Bank some 10 years ago. The bank has branches in Coffee, Grundy, Warren, Marion, Van Buren, Hamilton and Sequatchie Counties. The bank lists assets of $805 million. Franklin County United Bank Opened in 2004 and has assets of $78 Million. It reported a loss of $290,000 last year. Citizens Tri-County says the merger will be completed by the third quarter. All Franklin County United Bank Employees will remain on the job.
