Man Leads Police on 2 Car Chases, One while Driving a Patrol Car

A Manchester man in a heap of trouble after he allegedly led Coffee County Deputies and Manchester Police on not on not 1 but 2 separate car chases. Alfrod Lazon, Jr. age 34, has been charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, theft of property and evading arrest after the incidents, which damaged 4 patrol cars and left a County Deputy injured. Authorities says Lazo was 1st pulled over for suspicion of drunken driving by Manchester Police. He sped away as the officer worked to confirm his identity. The man crashed his car and was arrested and placed in the back of a Manchester cruiser. Lazo allegedly stole the police car, starting a 2nd chase that included him trying to hit other police units. A Coffee County deputy was injured following the 2nd chase, and was treated at a local hospital. Lazo is being held under a $177,000 bond.
