Cars, Trucks and SUV’s assembled by Middle Tennessee workers helped Japanese Automaker Nissan set a sales record last month. The company says it sold some 124,000 vehicles in April, up by 13% over the same time last year. Nissan says last month marked the largest North American sales effort in company history. Trucks, crossovers and sport utility vehicles posted a 10% gain. Total car sales were up by 16% in April. The Altima Model posted a 29% sales gain in April. 64,000 of the popular mid-sized sedans rolled off dealer lost last month. Nissan has a final assembly line in Smyrna and an engine factory in Decherd.
