Tennessee Republican Sen. Bob Corker says he has no reason to believe presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump would tap him for the Vice President’s spot. But the former Chattanooga Mayor didn’t take himself out of contention. Politico magazine reports Corker says he would always consider whether seeking another office might be better his service to the nation. Corker is 1 of a handful of Republican Senators embracing the Trump Candidacy. Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Corker offered to school the clueless Trump on foreign policy last week. The state’s other Rep. Senator, Lamar Alexander, says he won’t meet with Trump during a scheduled Washington stop Thursday, Alexander tells politico he’s never met Trump and doesn’t know much about him.
