Law men in two Middle Tennessee Counties say they may be on the verge of arrests in connection with two homicide investigations. Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum says his department has “strong leads” in connection with this month’s apparent homicide of Samantha Chandler, age 26. Shrum says investigators have searched the home of the victims ex-husband, Daniel Chandler. The young mother was found dead alongside a remote trail by ATV riders near the Coalmont Community. Shrum says Chandler spilt with her ex-husband last August and had been living with her parents at the time of her death.
Marion County Sheriff Ronnie “Bo” Burnett says he has a “person of interest” in connection with last week’s apparent killing of a Whitwell Pawn Shop Owner. The body of Jerry Ridge, age 72, was found at the back of his Calley Pawn Shop last Tuesday night. Firefighters were summoned after witnesses saw smoke spewing form the business. Burnett says emergency crews were “immediately” suspicious about the fire conditions. He says autopsy results may result in an arrest this week. The Ridge family also working with a separate family tragedy. Wesley Ridge, age 39, Jerry Ridge’s nephew, has been missing since March. Law men say they don’t know if the crimes are connected.
